tuition ends up being covered by FAFSA, Oregon Opportunity Grant funds,
they will still receive $1,000 from the Oregon Promise to use for books,
etc.
Here are the simple steps for students to apply:
- Students complete the Oregon Promise application at www.oregonstudentaid.gov starting November 2nd
- OSAC will contact schools to have transcripts uploaded in High School Portal next spring
- Students must pick which community college attending on FAFSA form

- GED has no age limit
- Modified diplomas are accepted
- Fifth year seniors’ course work at community colleges will count toward the 90-credit limit and will impact their college GPA.
- Eligibility requirements and grant calculations for those dually enrolled have yet to be determined by the HECC.
