                SENIORS:

 * REMEMBER: The $2,000-$10,000 Kaiser Permanente Scholarship for students going into health care deadlines Jan. 13Learn more at:

                * Cattle-, sheep-, swine-, and horse-related scholarships and INTERNSHIPS are also available through many industry groups. Get info from Ms.  Spearman or in ASPIRE.

                *  Applications for the $1,000 American Legion scholarship. Get paperwork in ASPIRE. Deadline is March 1.

  * Schweiger Memorial Scholarship for those going into construction or related fields. Deadline is March 1Info at www.advanced-american.com

  * Associated Oregon Loggers Scholarship for $6,000. Applicants must be planning to pursue a college degree in forest resource reproduction. Application in ASPIRE. Deadline is         April 1.

IMPORTANT STEPS TO TAKE NOW TO HELP YOU PURSUE EDUCATION AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
1.       Both students and parents must get an FSA (Financial Student Aid) ID n order to file their FAFSA. https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm.
        ​Get your FAFSA done by Jan. 30 to be considered for the Oregon Opportunity Grant
2.    ​Be prepared to do your FAFSA during a work session in Advisory Jan. 19.
3.       If you are headed to community college, complete your Oregon Promise application. http://www.oregonstudentaid.gov/oregon-promise.aspx
4.       Investigate – and apply for -- the scholarships mentioned in Tiger Times.
5.       Complete the OSAC scholarship application. Early bird deadline is Feb. 15.
6.      If you are a candidate to be a Chemeketa Scholar, plan to attend the info session Jan. 11 in Salem or Jan. 12 at the McMinnville campus. Starts at 6:30 p.m.
